| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
id | Use this as number_id when sending |
display_phone | E.164 as shown to recipients |
status | active, paused or pending. Only active numbers can send |
mode | new (created by Embedded Signup), coexistence (existing WhatsApp Business app number) or attach |
meta_phone_id / meta_waba_id | Meta identifiers, useful for support tickets |
waba_name | Display name of the owning WhatsApp Business Account |
quality_rating | Meta's quality rating for the WABA (green, yellow, red or empty) |

A key bound to specific numbers sees only those numbers, and can only send from them.
Connecting numbers
Numbers are connected from the dashboard through Meta Embedded Signup: either a new number or an existing WhatsApp Business app number that keeps working in the app and gains API access. This is not scriptable through the machine API yet.
